Porto tour and sunset

For our orientation walk, we meet Gerardo in the hotel lobby. He takes us all around the city, talking about the history.
Some of the places are ones I went to yesterday but some are brand new, like the Cathedral of Porto, where there is also a starting point for the Camino de Santiago.
One of the highlights is walking to the river Douro and seeing one of the 6 Bridges, the rabelo boats formerly used to transport Port wine and now for tourists. Gerardo told us about going to the spot at the end of the Luis 1 bridge to watch the sunset.
After the tour, we have a port tasting. I couldn't drink a whole glass of port but we ordered hummus & baba ghanouj appetizers, and talked about all kinds of things.
After the port, we went back to the hotel and I rested. Most of us met in the evening to walk to the bridge for sunset. The crowds at the various viewpoints was amazing!

I found a spot that provided an excellent photo spot while the others preferred a poorer photo spot that had a guitar player near by.
The trains continued to run while we enjoyed the sunset. Afterwards, Jyothi and I headed back to the hotel but found a hip little restaurant to grab a bite. It ended up being another late night.
