Margie made her a crane lei which ended up going beautifully with her outfit.
I've seen Reenie, Peggy and Margie around the studio. Kay, Sandy and Ye Rin I haven't seen in over a year.
I found a place where we could order a to-go tea service, Sugarbird Sweets. The food ended up being really good and plentiful! It was such a delight to be with everyone around a table, safely outside unmasked and to be able to celebrate Joan and all of us getting through this past year.
Last weekend's Joan celebration was limited to those of us helped chauffeur her to the studio and back in the last few years of her teaching.
This weekend a larger crowd, including her family (daughter, two grandsons and their wives and children) gathered again in her backyard for appetizers and a toast to Joan. We were able to be unmasked with permission from her family. There were many people I hadn't seen since last March and we have more time to catch up. Again, Joan looked terrific.
