The TSA line in Southwest's terminal was deserted when I was there. I got in the wrong line and had to be redirected to pre-check. They have new ID scanners and don't even care about your boarding pass now. I had to remind myself about what to do going through the scanner. 🙄
It was so great to see Mei, Neve and Mason after so much time. Mason has grown so much, he's almost as tall as me! We had planned a potluck lunch on Saturday with Gugu, Al and Da Bo Mu. Bing was added at the last minute, since he's not around/caring for unvaccinated children. It was so great to see everyone and the weather was perfect.
Aside from that one event, we didn't have much planned. We had a couple of nice meals out in Mei's new backyard seating area, did some shopping, talked a bit about our Hawaii trip, watched a bunch of movies together at home (The Hunt for the Wilderpeople, The Impossible, The Witches) which we all enjoyed, ate a little too much, played with Indy.
Stephen came home on Sunday after a short visit with his dad and we had smoked tri tip, homemade french fries and ice cream.
Before you know it, it was Monday and time to go home. Both times, the TSA was fast but airplanes were full. There are still people who don't understand how to wear a mask after a year, and more things are touchless than before.
It was a really good weekend.
