Today after breakfast at the Hilton, we are picked up by Claudio to be
driven to our hotel in Santiago, the El Bosque. Claudio will be our
guide for the duration.
After settling in, I sent a note to the group to
see who was in already. Turned out Joyce, Joel, Marilyn and Suzanne are
here. We met them at the hotel restaurant for a late lunch and long
catch up session. Then Amy showed up and joined us for an even later
lunch. After her quick snack, I joined Amy to go to the nearby mall,
Costanera Center. We later found out it is the largest mall in South America and
the connected tower is the tallest in South America. The place is packed, and the
H&M even more so. Amy picked up a few things for Laura who had flight issues and will not have her luggage the first day.
Dinner tonight is at the hotel where we meet most everyone. There are several people who have still not arrived.
