Bucato
Last weekend, I tried out this new restaurant with my friend Brandi. It's located in the old Beacon laundry building (former location of a much loved asian fusion restaurant). The chef, Evan Funke, is well known about town (another former Spago-ite) and has been running the Porchetta truck lately while setting up this place. The interior is small, with most of it taken up by kitchen. Two outdoor areas provide the bulk of the seating. Apparently they will be adding canopies to the outdoor areas which will help in the winter. The food was fantastic. Another 'small bites' type place (which means they bring out the food in whatever order it is done). The menu is composed of several categories including a selection of hand made pastas, bigger entree size dishes and starter-y type things. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. Service was great. They have porchetta on the menu. What more could a girl want?
