Spending the day at Denver airport

I was supposed to catch a connecting flight that left Denver at 10:15a. They had the plane pushed back from the gate but apparently the right engine wouldn't start. We hung out on the plane for about an hour for them to try and do a fix, but once it was clear that it wasn't going to happen, we were let off. The flight was rescheduled for 3p. There was very slim chance of booking on an earlier flight, because they had terrible weather the day before (apparently there were people who were forced to stay in Denver overnight) plus an earlier LA flight was cancelled. So I hung out at the airport. Luckily, there was a massage shop near the gate. I got myself a 20 minute chair massage. It was quite nice! After lugging my stuff on planes all morning, I really needed it. The silver lining to the flight (once it resumed) was that the flight crew was really pleasant (they probably had a long day as well), and I was bumped into an exit row! I was in the row directly behind and the two young people sitting in that row had very poor english skills. That's like getting a business class seat! The airline, United, gave us all a token for our troubles. We can pick from a credit, miles or percent off. I'm still deciding what's going to work best for me.

Oh, I should add that the other silver lining to my day at the airport is that we landed safe and sound, we didn't end up somewhere in the Atlantic. My heart goes out to the family of those poor people on the Air France flight.
