A 5.8 (approx., this might get adjusted as they study this further) just hit the LA area. I'm in Burbank at work and this was my first experience of one in a high rise (on the 8th floor). Boy did this building shake. The swaying continued for quite awhile after the earthquake stopped. Everyone is fine, some more shaken than others. It's an amazing ride when no one is hurt.
I never know what I'm supposed to do when one hits. I basically froze. Now I know what deer feel like when the headlights hit them.
