Darfur

Last week, Don Cheadle and John Prendergast came to the studio and talked to us about the crisis in Darfur. Cheadle became involved as a result of his work on the movie Hotel Rwanda. He went to visit the man he was portraying, and while in Africa, heard about this OTHER crisis, in Sudan. Prendergast has been working on human rights issues in Africa for over 20 years. I didn't really know much about the situation, aside from the little snippets I picked up on NPR (when I was paying attention). It's truly inspiring to hear someone like John speak about this issue.
