South Pasadena salon
On Monday night, my friends Elaine and Alex had some people over for crepes. Alex, being French, was commissioned with the crepe making chores. Elaine's sister, Effie, was in town from Singapore. The crepes were 'fromage et jambon', 'marron' (chestnut puree...yummmm) and Nutella. Another guest, David, made mini chocolate souffles. While we waited for the souffles to do their thing, Elaine and a third guest, TK, played a violin and piano duet (Prokofiev). A fourth guest, Tamar, is a composer and Elaine played some of her music from a CD. (I was the least talented person in the room.) What more could you ask of an evening than great food, interesting company and some good music? We left quite late, and very stuffed.
